"Jock of the Bushveld" by Sir James Percy FitzPatrick is a true story published in 1907. The book chronicles FitzPatrick's adventures with his loyal dog Jock, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross, during the 1880s in the Transvaal Bushveld. Starting as an unwanted runt, Jock grows into a fearless and devoted companion through years of frontier life.
